Leroy'The Gecko' Lita is a Leopard Gecko. He is a nocturnal ground-dwelling gecko naturally found in the deserts of southern Central Asia, and throughout Pakistan, to the northwestern parts of India. His diet consists of crickets and mealworms!
This is Shek the Black Moor freshwater fish. He was self named by one of our leaving year 11s this year. He has distinctive sticky out eyes and eats a lot.
Sharing a tank with Shek is his companion Samwise. Named by ZSJW recently (i take it after the Lord of the Rings character). He is the largest fish in the classroom and he likes to do back flips in the water as a party trick.
Don's be put off. These two Madagascan Hissing Cockroaches are called Al-Fayed and Twinkle. Named by my year 11 class at the beginning of September 2010 these guys just laze around all day. The male has slight horns on his shell, if you stroke him he makes a unique "hisssssing" sound. Hissing cockroaches were made famous in the film Men in Black.
The final tank contains 5 Danio fish. They are called Patrick, Optimus Prime, Clifford, Jaws and having come back from the dead- Dave. These guys love to hang out in the pineapple under the sea and are very energetic!
